Airtrax omni-directional wheels

omni wheel
Mecanum wheel

Omni wheels or poly wheels, similar to mecanum wheels, are wheels with small discs around the circumference which are perpendicular to the rolling direction.

The Mecanum wheel is one design for a wheel which can move in any direction. It is sometimes called the Ilon wheel after its Swedish inventor, Bengt Ilon, who came up with the idea in 1973 when he was an engineer with the Swedish company Mecanum AB.

The Airtrax wheels are Mecanum wheels. Each wheel is comprised of a series of rollers, mounted so that their axis of rotation is 45 to the axis of the main wheel. As the wheels rotate in sync, the vehicle moves forwards or backwards normally, but by spinning pairs of wheels in opposite directions, the rollers enable sideways movement. Put it all together, and you can move laterally, diagonally, or spin in a circle.

solar strap

This is a very good idea to save energy. Although this concept is not in market this time but it’ll surely make you tension free. Now you need to worry if you had forgotten batteries at home or they are discharged. Only the problem is “weather”. But in this case you may use your regular batteries. You may use solar strap as alternate. If you search over the net more about solar designs you’ll get more ideas like this. Many of them had implemented as well. Like folded & micro solar panels which may be suitable to charge your mobile phones or i-pod.

How to save mobiles from thieves : idea for mobile manufacturer companies

mobile thief
Wide Touch screen, higher resolution camera, High quality music, Wi-Fi, accelerometer sensor……….overall a pocket cut mobile. Mobile is now in fashion, need and desires. It is a best substitute of camera, phone, small PC and walky-talky too.
If mobiles are so needful & expensive too what we do for its safety from thief?
A very common solution is just to take care it. And if it is lost then launch a complaint in police station. And forget your mobile forever.
Mobile companies are providing a very good feature “Mobile Tracker”, to track SIM number of thieve or the person who is using your mobile without your permission. You need not to contact any third party to activate it. You’ll get a free guide along with your handset. And can activate it in within 5-6 steps.

I purchased SAMSUNG Star 3g on 9th Nov 2009. And I lost it on 8th Dec 2009. Exact 1 month!!!.

I launched the complaint in nearby police station where i lost my mobile. On the same night when the mobile was stolen, I received a SMS from new SIM card used in my mobile since i already had activated mobile tracker few days ago. I gave tracked number in police station. But they denied accepting it. Unexpectedly, they asked me to collect information like address of thief. I received many traced SIM numbers. But nothing helped me.
Well! This incident brought an idea in my mind. Like other stuff such as bike, house you can take loan and any LIC policy for your mobiles as well.
If mobile companies start registering their own mobiles after selling then only the sale of duplicate mobiles can be stopped and stealing of mobiles also can be reduced.

Let me explain in detail.

This area is protected to registered users only.

I submitted this idea in a contest. And it reaches in top 90 ideas out of total 4800 ideas. I had done some smaller changes to make this idea effective. I hope it can help you to safe mobiles.
This onetime investment is better than lifetime worries.
